baranona

Discover the name of a rose with AI

baranona is an AI exhibition that helps you learn the names of roses.

In the gallery, four large screens display beautifully reconstructed 3D roses.
By pointing a tablet camera at a rose on the screen, the AI instantly analyzes the image and shows the name of the rose variety.

There are more than 30,000 rose varieties in the world, and many of them are difficult to tell apart.
The baranona AI used was trained on about 70,000 images of roses photographed at Jindai Botanical Gardens and Kyu-Furukawa Gardens.
Today, it can recognize around 400 different rose varieties.

Look, capture, and discover.
Enjoy exploring the world of roses with AI.
