A Story behind the New RULO
The new RULO was developed through a joint effort between the industry and academia. It was first conceptualized and prototyped at the Panasonic/Chiba Institute of Technology (CIT) Industry-Academic Collaboration Center, an establishment that was founded to accelerate the development of next-generation robotics home appliances. The engineers at the Collaboration Center packed the prototype with technologies developed by CIT’s Future Robotics Technology Center (fuRo), including the SLAM technology ranked among the top of the world**. Panasonic then developed it into a commercial product.
